PE FIT

Physical education is the system of learning through physical activities intended to enhance physical fitness, develop motor skills, knowledge and conduct of healthy, solid and dynamic living. It is a mean of development and growth of a person all in all. With physical education, individuals acquire bundle of variety of expressions which are undauntedly related with the personal impression of fun as well as knowledge and understanding of human motion. It manages the complete physical, spiritual and mental growth of an individual with the assistance of different activities. It centers around recreational programs that are proven as catharsis to forgo a person’s worries, anxieties and depression.

By biological perspective, its importance can be seen as that because of physical activities blood circulation boosts up and blood moves throughout the body quickly which results in the intake of supplements and fresh oxygen that makes nervous tissues to wind up more grounded and work better. Unfortunately, physical education isn’t given the worthiness that it merits. It is considered a co-curricular activity, hobby or a side interest for some, not as essential as core subjects.

Worldwide it is acknowledged as a part of educational program however lamentably in Pakistan physical education is taken as futile or just as a sport. According to research, there are only a total of 170 universities in Pakistan and among them only 18 universities offer masters programs regarding physical education, only 3 universities offer M.phil but there isn’t any institute that offers PhD in physical education. The condition of physical education is deportable here. It should be made a part of mandatory curriculum at school level as well as at higher level as it provides active life style for every age group. Efforts are needed to enhance the cognizance of physical education among masses.

Students active outside the classroom, do better inside the class room.”
